After another disappointing 3-2 loss against Nottingham Forest, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly looking to strengthen his squad, possibly in the January transfer window.

One player the club is said to be targeting is England international Marc Guehi, a 24-year-old centre-back for Crystal Palace.

Since joining Palace from Chelsea in 2021, Guehi has been a regular starter, making 129 appearances for the club.

Despite significant interest from Newcastle United during the summer, Guehi remained at Palace.

However, United is now reportedly preparing a bid for the defender, with an offer in the region of £40 million expected.

Palace, though, is likely to demand a higher fee, potentially as much as £60 million.

Guehi’s contract runs until the summer of 2026, but Palace could be open to selling him in the next transfer window.

The 24-year-old has earned 22 senior caps for England and has become a key figure in the Palace defense.

With both Manchester United and Newcastle continuing to monitor his progress, Guehi’s future could be up for discussion in January, especially if Palace is willing to negotiate a transfer.
