Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of Noussair Mazraoui after West Ham abandoned their bid to sign the Bayern Munich right-back.

West Ham had reached agreements with Mazraoui and Bayern, but negotiations with his agent fell through, prompting them to withdraw from the deal.

This opened the door for Manchester United, who are now in advanced talks with Bayern over Mazraoui.

United manager Erik ten Hag previously managed Mazraoui at Ajax and is keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag believes Mazraoui could play a pivotal role in revitalizing Antony’s career at United seen as they have incredible patnership on the pitch.

Mazraoui is under contract with Bayern until 2026, has made 55 appearances for the club and helped them secure the Bundesliga title in 2023 and the DFL-Supercup in 2022.

Bayern is open to selling the Moroccan and expects a fee between €25 million (£21 million) and €20 million (£16.8 million).

However, Man Utd considers €15 million (£12.6 million) to €20 million (£16.8 million) to be a more realistic range.
