Marcus Rashford Left Out Of England Squad Following Injury Scare

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is set to miss out on England’s upcoming fixtures against Italy and Ukraine after picking up an injury during a recent match.

The FA have confirmed that he will not join the squad, alongside Nick Pope and Mason Mount who have both also pulled out due to their own injuries.

Instead, they will be replaced with Fraser Forster who has been added as a substitute.

Rashford sustained his injury during United’s FA Cup win over Fulham on Sunday when he received treatment in the build-up to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opening goal and was later withdrawn in the 83rd minute of the game.

Although there is hope that it won’t be a long-term issue for him, Rashford has missed two matches throughout this season from his 44 appearances, scoring 27 goals in total.

As for his team, Manchester United will not be back in action until 2 April when they face Newcastle United at St James’ Park before their busy April which includes semi-final in the FA Cup and quarter-finals in the Europa League.
