The French captain has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and last summer, he refused to sign a new deal with PSG, allowing him to become a free agent.

According to reports, Mbappe’s salary at Real Madrid will be drastically reduced to align with the club’s highest-earners.

Previously earning an eye-popping £62 million (€72 million) per year at PSG, his new deal is estimated to be around £21 million (€25 million) per year after tax.
Mbappe’s new salary will make him the highest earner at Real Madrid, surpassing the wages of current top earners David Alaba and Toni Kroos.
