Millions of iPhone users are at risk of losing access to critical software features if they don’t update their devices to the latest version of iOS.
Apple is set to drop support for devices still using old versions of iOS when it releases iOS 17 later this year.
This means that iPhones still using iOS 11 to iOS 11.2.6 will no longer be able to use important software like Maps, Siri, and the App Store.
Even the iPhone 7 could be affected if users haven’t updated their system software. Apple insider @StellaFudge reported the change, but it has not been verified by Apple.
To update your iPhone, simply go to the Settings app and select General > Software Update. Make sure your device is plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi.
While the iPhone 7 doesn’t support the latest version of iOS 16, it can be updated to iOS 15 for new security features and updates.
Don’t risk losing access to your apps—update your iPhone today.
