Alvaro Morata has made a return to Serie A joining AC Milan from Atletico Madrid.

The 31-year-old striker finalized a four-year contract with Milan, with an option for an additional year.

Reports suggest that Milan activated Morata’s 13-million euro ($14.2 million) release clause, and the player will earn around 4.5 million euros per season.

Morata played a crucial role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph, appearing in every match and scoring his only goal in a 3-0 victory over Croatia.

His previous stints in Italy with Juventus were highly successful, with two league titles and three Italian cups to his name.

Morata has also won the FA Cup with Chelsea and two Champions League titles with Real Madrid.

AC Milan finished second in Serie A last season 19 points behind champions Inter Milan.

They are getting ready for the new season under new coach Paulo Fonseca and will kick off their league campaign against Torino on August 17.

With Morata now in their ranks, Milan aims to close the gap with their rivals and make a strong push for the title.
