NDLEA Cracks Down on General Overseer of a church in Lagos Over Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested the Leader of a church based in Lagos for his involvement in drug trafficking.

Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson for NDLEA, announced the arrest through his social media accounts on Sunday.

He didn’t disclose much information about the arrested person and his church but did post videos showing how methamphetamine was being concealed within kegs of palm oil.

The trafficker had allegedly attempted to export this dangerous drug and skunk to Dubai.

Babafemi also said that it was an “unfortunate event” when a religious leader involved himself in this criminal activity – “Church General Overseer busted! You go to seek refuge in the House of God and there the shepherd recruits you into drug trafficking” he tweeted.

More information on this case will be revealed by noon according to NDLEA’s spokesman.
