On Tuesday, millions of users in Nigeria experienced outages on Meta Platforms, specifically Facebook and Instagram.

According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, users were unable to access these popular social media platforms, leading to widespread frustration and complaints.

Nigerians took to various online platforms to lament the outages, expressing their disappointment at being unable to log in or access their accounts.

Facebook users reported being logged out of the platform and receiving a message stating, “The password that you’ve entered is incorrect.”

Meanwhile, Instagram users encountered an error message that read, “Something went wrong. There’s an issue and the page could not be loaded.”

Amidst the Facebook and Instagram outages, some social media users turned to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their concerns and check if the platform was experiencing similar issues.
