Liverpool has continued its impressive campaign in the Champions League, making it three wins from three with a narrow 1-0 victory away at RB Leipzig.
They have now become the first side in the club’s history to win their opening six away games in a season and also marked their 11th win in 12 matches.
After a shaky start, caused by a lapse from Kostas Tsimikas and a lack of finishing from Leipzig, Liverpool eventually found their rhythm with Mohamed Salah delivering a crucial header, which Núñez poked home.
Liverpool struggled to dominate the match, and although they created several chances, including a missed penalty appeal for Nunez, they couldn’t extend their lead.
Leipzig continued to press and nearly equalized, but Liverpool’s goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher made crucial saves to maintain the clean sheet.
Liverpool will look to build on their current form as they prepare to face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
