The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council has made it clear that there is no turning back on their nationwide demonstration until the Independent National Electoral Commission grants access to materials pertaining to the contentious February 25th presidential election.
LP’s lawyers are challenging the results of that election, where Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress won 8,794,726 votes, compared to Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party Flagbearer Obi who respectively got 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes.
Whether INEC would comply with this request is yet to be seen as the Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi was unsure if the LP had written any correspondence concerning this.
However; LP Chief Spokesman Yunusa Tanko insists they will hit the streets, by God’s grace come Monday morning due to INEC’s disobedience towards demands to obtain certified true copies of electoral materials.
