The tragic loss of the Titan submersible and its crew members during an expedition to explore the Titanic shipwreck has been confirmed by the US Coast Guard.
The five crew members, including Oceangate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, British billionaire Hamish Harding, and French adventurer Paul-Henri Nargeolet, were on a dive when communication with their support ship was lost.
Despite a four-day search, the submersible was not found until news of its “catastrophic implosion” was confirmed.
