After months of being away for medical treatment in Germany, Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, has returned to Nigeria.
According to the Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Wole Ogunmolasuyi, the governor is currently in his residence in Ibadan.
It was also confirmed by the governor’s wife, Betty, through her social media handle. She posted a picture of the governor on an airplane with the caption “Homebound,” indicating his homecoming.
Sources reveal that Governor Akeredolu will spend a few days in Ibadan before heading to Ondo State to resume his official duties.
Prior to his departure, the governor had informed the State House of Assembly and handed over power to his deputy in an acting capacity.
The governor’s return was eagerly awaited, and his official return to office will be announced soon.
