Benue Governor Samuel Ortom has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership of displaying arrogance, impunity and mischief in handling the rift between Atiku Abubakar, their presidential candidate and the G-5 governors.

According to Ortom, this is why they have refused to campaign for Atiku.

He said that the G-5’s demand for a replacement of Dr Iyorchia Ayu with someone from the South as PDP National Chairman had not been met by the party’s leadership.

The Benue Governor also expressed disappointment with some members of the PDP in the South who chickened out on their demands for a power shift to this region.

Ortom noted that while APC governors showed humility and accepted power shift, those in PDP were being arrogant and mischievous.

He reiterated that G-5 remained committed to issues of integrity, equity and justice, hence will not back down on their demands no matter what.
