Osimhen Injury Update: Napoli President De Laurentiis Speaks Out

Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has confirmed that Victor Osimhen will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a muscular injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria.

The Serie A leaders have announced that the 23-year-old will miss their upcoming match against AC Milan.

Osimhen’s injury will be evaluated next week, but De Laurentiis has already given an update during his interview with reporters at the Lega Serie A meeting, stating that “he should be out for a couple of weeks, we hope.”

This means that Osimhen may also miss the first leg of Napoli’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against AC Milan at the San Siro.

Despite the setback, Osimhen has had an impressive season, scoring 25 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions for Napoli.
