Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, will not be playing in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against AC Milan due to an abductor injury.
Despite his impressive record of 25 goals in 29 appearances this season, the 24-year-old Nigerian will be absent from the San Siro after leaving the club’s training camp in Castel Volturno.
Napoli is hopeful that Osimhen will recover in time for the second leg on April 18 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Osimhen has been sidelined due to injury, having missed three group-stage games earlier in the season.
In his absence, Giovanni Simeone will also be unavailable for the game due to a hamstring injury.
