French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a substantial bid for striker Victor Osimhen, who has also been linked with Chelsea. This move comes as PSG anticipates the departure of their star player Kylian Mbappé, who seems poised to leave the club.

According to La Repubblica via Football Italia, PSG is planning to submit a bid of €120m (approximately N194 billion in Nigerian currency) for the Nigerian forward in the upcoming summer transfer window.

With the imminent departure of Mbappé, PSG is keen to strengthen their attacking options. The French international has been instrumental in the team’s goal-scoring efforts, having scored an impressive 242 goals in 289 appearances, making him the all-time leading scorer for the defending Ligue 1 champions.

However, PSG’s interest in Osimhen is not exclusive. They are also eyeing AC Milan forward Rafael Leao and are preparing a similar offer for him.

Osimhen’s future at Napoli seems uncertain, with recent statements suggesting his departure from the Serie A club in the summer.

Club President Aurelio De Laurentiis has also indicated that they expect the talented striker to join either PSG, Real Madrid, or a Premier League club.

Reports suggest that Osimhen has a release clause ranging from €120m to €130m, which any club must activate to secure his signature in the upcoming transfer window.

It remains to be seen whether PSG’s bid will be successful in acquiring the services of Osimhen, but it is evident that the French club is actively preparing for the potential departure of Mbappé and is determined to bolster their attacking department.
