The PDP Presidential Campaign Council’s spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, has called for the removal of Yakubu Mahmood, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), claiming that Nigerians have lost confidence in him.
Bwala stated that President Muhammadu Buhari must take action to redeem his electoral legacy by sacking Mahmood, especially in the event of a run-off election.
He made these remarks during an interview on Arise TV, where he also criticized the abuse of the Electoral Act during the recent election.
Bwala emphasized the need for an unbiased umpire to restore the public’s trust in the electoral process.
