PDP National Working Committee Vows To Deal With Wike After Presidential Elections

After the presidential election, the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has promised to punish those involved in anti-party activities, led by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

As reported by The PUNCH, last year, members such as Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) pulled out of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council due to their disagreement with party chairman Iyorchia Ayu’s leadership.

While some backed alternate presidential candidates such as Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, others were reportedly undecided between Atiku Abubakar and Obi.

A PDP National Executive Committee member revealed that Ayu would take charge once polls have concluded to emphasize “the supremacy of the party.”

Moreover, The PUNCH was told by Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi and Deputy National Youth Leader Timothy Osadolor that those involved in opposing activities must face sanctions.

After the elections are finished, Osadolor confirmed that: ‘The party will revisit this issue.’ It’s not a matter of if but when these governors receive punishment for their actions.
