The Lagos Police Command has announced the discovery of a kidnappers’ hideout in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

According to the police, the den was uncovered during a raid on Thursday night, which saw the kidnappers open fire on operatives of the Command.

The resulting gun battle led to the death of one of the criminals, while three kidnap victims were successfully rescued by the police.

A cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered at the scene.

Speaking to the media, the Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the rescued victims were receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.

This latest operation is part of the Lagos State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to tackle the menace of kidnapping in the state.

Earlier this year, the police command arrested several suspects in connection with the kidnapping of school children in the state.

Kidnapping has become a major security challenge in Nigeria in recent years, with Lagos State being one of the worst affected areas.

The state government and security agencies have been working together to address the issue, with increased patrols and intelligence-gathering efforts.

The Lagos State Police Command has urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

The police have also reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of the state.
