Premier League To Allow Mid-Game Fasting Breaks During Ramadan

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Referees in the Premier League and English Football League of England have been instructed to pause games periodically during Ramadan, so players can break their fast with liquids, energy gels or supplements.

This holy period lasts a month and begins on Wednesday this year.

Before each game, referees will also identify players who are fasting and agree on the estimated time for a pause in play.

Even more so this year due to it being 2021, as last season Graham Scott paused a match between Leicester City and Crystal Palace just after half an hour because Wesley Fofana and Cheikhou Kouyate had to break their fast after sunset.

Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, N’Golo Kante from Chelsea, Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City are amongst those players that will abstain from eating and drinking throughout daylight hours during Ramadan.
