President Joe Biden has confirmed that at least 11 Americans have died in the ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict.
In a statement, Biden condemned the violence as an “appalling terrorist assault against Israel” and expressed his condolences to the families affected.
He also stated that the U.S. believes that Hamas is holding American citizens as prisoners and is working with Israel to handle the hostage crisis.
The identities of the deceased Americans have not been released yet.
The conflict has resulted in over 1,300 reported deaths so far, with both Israeli and Palestinian casualties.
