Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has taken measures to protect its star players, Lionel Messi and Neymar, after protests by angry fans over recent results.
The club has ordered extra security at their training ground and homes, following a gathering of several hundred PSG supporters outside the club’s headquarters.
The fans set off smoke flares and sang hostile chants about Messi, Neymar, and Marco Verratti.
Some of them then travelled to Neymar’s home, where they chanted “Neymar, get lost”.
PSG condemned the actions of the protesters and decided to boost security at the training ground and outside the players’ homes.
Messi’s future at PSG was plunged into doubt after he was suspended for two weeks for travelling to Saudi Arabia without the club’s permission.
