Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has offered a raw and critical take on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, NaijNaira can report.

During a chat with Soundcity, Falz responded instantly when asked what comes to mind when he hears Tinubu’s name: “Hardship. No elaboration.” That response captured the mood for many Nigerians facing steep economic pressures, as reported by Soundcity.

Speaking further in an Arise TV interview, Falz didn’t hold back on his assessment of Tinubu’s tenure. “It goes without saying that more than anything we’ve moved backwards. There is not much progress that has been recorded,” he said.

He questioned what plans, if any, the administration had going forward, especially in relation to the President’s campaign mantra “Emilokan,” meaning “It’s my turn.”

“And now it just seems like, what were you planning on doing? We are still waiting. It’s remaining two more years. Maybe there is still a plan. But as it stands now, first half, we never see anything,” Falz added.

With two years left in Tinubu’s term, Falz believes there’s still time to take action — but only if meaningful change begins now.
