Real Madrid is reportedly planning to make a £100m bid for Tottenham’s Harry Kane as a replacement for Karim Benzema, who is leaving the club after 14 years.
Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, is keen on signing Kane and is also eyeing Chelsea striker Kai Havertz to replace Benzema.
However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is not interested in selling Kane and will demand more than £100m to deter potential buyers.
While Kane has expressed his desire to break the Premier League’s goalscoring record, he has also made it clear that he is not interested in a move to Paris Saint Germain.
Real Madrid’s ability to turn Kane’s head and convince him to leave Tottenham remains to be seen.
