Oladele Orimoogunje, the director of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has sadly passed away.
The university announced his death in a statement on its website, revealing that he died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in the early hours of Tuesday.
The cause of his death was not disclosed. The statement also included condolences from Folasade Ogunsola, the university vice-chancellor.
Orimoogunje was a renowned professor of African Studies at UNILAG and served as the director of ICE.
His appointment as ICE director was recently renewed in May.
The university community mourns his loss and prays for the repose of his soul.
