On Tuesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja extended an injunction restraining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from suspending or expelling Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
This order was granted after both Counsels to the governor and parties listed in the motion of February 2 accepted to proceed with legal representation.
In the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/139/2023, Dr Iyorchia Ayu and other members of PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC), and National Executive Committee (NEC) were joined as defendants.
Governor Wike sought leave from the court so a restraining order against all parties could be maintained, and that he would have authorization to serve papers relating to the case through pasting on PDP’s National Secretariat located at Wadata Plaza in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Judge ruling this case, Justice James Omotosho, gave leave for these origination motions and documents that were to be sent out per Wike’s bid.
