Robert Lewandowski Reveals Plans for Barcelona Contract

Robert Lewandowski, the Poland international striker, has expressed his intention to remain at Barcelona until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Barcelona’s management prioritized signing Lewandowski when they used financial resources to make high-profile additions in 2022.

The transfer from Bayern Munich to Camp Nou could potentially rise to €50m with add-ons.

So far, the move has been successful, with Lewandowski contributing 23 goals and seven assists in the team’s La Liga title triumph last season.

Despite turning 36 years old in August, Lewandowski has made a significant impact, scoring a total of 47 goals and providing 14 assists in just 77 appearances.

Barcelona’s current financial situation and preference for younger players have led to speculation about the future of their highest-earning players.

However, in an interview with Sport, Lewandowski stated that he has no plans to leave and wants to experience playing at the renovated Camp Nou.

Lewandowski expressed his happiness in the city and his contentment with the club.

His comments come at a time when Barcelona is searching for a successor to Xavi, who announced his departure from the coaching role at the end of the season.

While Barcelona currently lacks a senior alternative to Lewandowski, they have recently acquired the promising Brazilian talent, Vitor Roque.

As Barcelona prepares to face Granada on Sunday evening, Lewandowski is expected to retain his spot in the starting lineup.

His commitment to the club and desire to play at the iconic Camp Nou once again will surely be welcomed by the fans.
