Former Cameroon international, Samuel Eto’o, has reached an agreement with his estranged daughter, Erika do Rosario Nieves, to avoid jail time.
The legal dispute between them began when Eto’o allegedly refused to recognize Erika as his daughter and neglected to pay child support.
In 2018, a Spanish court confirmed Erika’s paternity, and she subsequently took legal action to claim the arrears of €1,400 per month in child support, totaling €90,000.
To avoid imprisonment, Eto’o agreed to pay the amount owed, and Erika agreed to close the case.
Eto’o has not publicly acknowledged Erika as his daughter or made any public statements regarding the agreement.
