Sanwo-Olu makes new appointments 47 days to swearing-in

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has given his approval for the appointment of three new permanent secretaries in the Lagos State Public Service.

The announcement was made by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, in a statement released on Monday.

The three new appointees are Olushekun Bibilomo Olayide, who is the Director of Establishments in the Office of Establishments and Training; Obadina Akinbode, the Director of Administration and Human Resource/Principal Private Secretary to the Head of Service; and Akanbi Adenike Ganiat, the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Office of the Chief of Staff.

According to the statement, the appointments were made after a rigorous screening process that involved a pool of qualified candidates who had previously been interviewed by the Governor and had distinguished themselves exceptionally in the discharge of their duties.

Muri-Okunola expressed confidence that the new appointees possessed the necessary experience, competence, and qualities required to serve in the esteemed and revered rank of Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Public Service.

The Head of Service further stated that the appointments are with immediate effect, and the deployment posts of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries will be announced in due course.

Muri-Okunola also wished the new appointees a most rewarding and impactful tenure in office and said that their swearing-in would be announced at a later date.

The appointment of the three new Permanent Secretaries is expected to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the Lagos State Public Service, which is renowned for its commitment to excellence and professionalism.
