A man in Tanzania is in critical condition after being attacked by an elephant.
The animal was part of a herd that had escaped from a conservation area and was foraging for crops in a nearby village when the attack occurred.
Authorities say that the elephants became agitated when local villagers approached them and started taking selfies.
One of the men was then viciously attacked, leaving him wounded.
After hospitalizing the victim, there has since been some improvement in his condition according to George Katabazi, the regional police commissioner.
