New information has emerged regarding Simon Ekpa, a Biafra agitator and separatist based in Finland, who allegedly attempted to co
ntact Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah. Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), shared a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp chat on Twitter, claiming that Ekpa reached out to him on July 19, requesting to speak with Governor Peter Mbah.
Ejimakor believes that Ekpa’s motive for contacting the governor may be related to a possible betrayal of the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The lawyer accused Ekpa of disobeying Kanu’s orders and insinuated that he may have sought financial incentives in exchange for betraying Kanu.
This revelation comes shortly after Kanu ordered an end to the sit-at-home protest in the Southeast region, a directive that Ekpa has reportedly rejected.
