Slot Gives Latest on Alexander-Arnold’s Injury After Missing Spurs Victory

Arne Slot has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss Liverpool’s upcoming FA Cup match against Plymouth as he continues recovering from a leg injury.

The defender was absent during Liverpool’s Carabao Cup semifinal win over Tottenham, having been injured in the 2-0 victory over Bournemouth earlier this month.

Slot reassured that the injury is not serious but stated that the FA Cup tie would be too soon for his return.

As for the Merseyside derby against Everton, Slot mentioned it is uncertain but noted that the injury isn’t expected to keep Alexander-Arnold out for months, just a few weeks at most.

Slot also highlighted the importance of not rushing Alexander-Arnold’s recovery, particularly with the busy fixture schedule ahead.

Conor Bradley has been filling in at right-back, impressing with an assist in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup win, with Slot praising his decision-making and work rate.
