Manir Muhammed Dan Iya, Deputy Governor of Sokoto, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On 8th February 2023, Mr Muhammad delivered a letter of resignation to his ward’s head expressing his decision to leave the party.
He thanked them for the chance he was given to serve in several capacities without providing any reason for his departure.
“I hereby notify you of my withdrawal of membership from the PDP with effect from 8th February 2023,” read the letter.
“I am grateful for the chances brought forward by PDP which enabled me to serve in various positions.”
