Dominic Solanke scored twice in the second half as Tottenham Hotspur secured a 4-1 victory against Aston Villa.

The match started poorly for Tottenham, as Villa’s Morgan Rogers capitalized on defensive errors from a corner to open the scoring in the first half.

Tottenham quickly erased the one-goal deficit early in the second half.

Brennan Johnson’s equalizer, coming just four minutes after the break, shifted the momentum back in Spurs’ favor.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou then substituted Heung-min Son before the hour mark while the score was still tied.

This decision paid off when Solanke found the net twice in quick succession, putting Spurs comfortably ahead.

James Maddison capped off the victory with a stunning free-kick in the dying moments of the match.

While Postecoglou celebrated the win, he was left with concerns about injuries to Cristian Romero and Richarlison, both of whom were forced to leave the pitch during the game.

Looking ahead, Villa will face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday, while Tottenham prepares for their Europa League match against Galatasaray on Thursday.
