Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, missed out on the team’s recent match against AC Milan due to an injury.
However, manager Luciano Spalletti has provided an update on his condition, stating that Osimhen may be fit to play in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against AC Milan next month.
Unfortunately, the 24-year-old will not be available for Napoli’s upcoming Serie A match against Leece as he continues to receive treatment for his injury.
Spalletti remains optimistic about Osimhen’s return, saying that there are many possibilities for his programming in the following matches, but they will have to wait and see how his recovery progresses.
“Tomorrow there is no chance, we go to the following week with the work schedule.
“For the following matches there are many possibilities from a programming point of view, but you have to wait for the practical development of the work,” Spalletti told a press conference.
Osimhen has been a key player for Napoli this season, scoring an impressive 21 goals in 23 league appearances.
