The Supreme Court has scheduled a date and time for the judgment on the appeal filed by former Governor Gboyega Oyetola against the election of Ademola Adeleke in the 2022 Osun governorship election.

The judgment will be delivered at 2pm on Tuesday.

The five-member panel of the Supreme Court heard arguments from lawyers representing both parties on Monday before announcing the date and time for the judgment.

Oyetola is seeking to overturn the Court of Appeal’s March 25th ruling in Abuja, which upheld Adeleke’s victory in the Osun State governorship election.

The Appeal Court had overturned an earlier judgment by the Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which had declared Oyetola the winner and removed Adeleke from office.
