Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp said that despite his team not winning the match, he saw a positive in the point added to their tally and emphasized on moving on.

He discussed how their goal was facilitated through set pieces in the past few games before, noting that they could have done better this time around.

Klopp shared why Darwin Nunez was absent and also stated that it had been a challenging season so far, but promised to keep going with this struggle.

When asked as to why Trent Alexander-Arnold had been substituted off, he revealed that part of it had been due to considering his workload, while Naby Keita’s substitution at halftime happened due to accumulating early yellow cards along with more fouls.

Answering if Liverpool had missed Nunez’ runs in behind, he pointed out that Diogo Jota and Mo Salah could fulfill similar roles while stressing how they failed to maintain an attacking trajectory as it involved managing a limited space between double lines of players.

Despite expressing concern over Alexander-Arnold’s form potentially being impacted by a lack of confidence due to increased playing opportunities, Klopp still maintained faith in him healing himself with rest days.

Lastly, when discussing the encouraging performance made by Diogo Jota for his first start since October, he praised him for having beaten such difficult odds thus far.
