Nigerian skit maker Sanku has died after a deadly car accident on Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, throwing fans and colleagues into mourning – www.naijnaira.com reports.
According to reports, the crash happened early Monday, September 1, 2025, leaving several passengers with serious injuries.
Hospital sources confirmed that Sanku, who was critically hurt in the accident, could not survive despite emergency treatment.
Another victim was also reported to be in critical condition following the crash.
Comedian Ozain Comedy announced the death on Instagram with the words, “Rest well, soldier,” while Jidex posted on TikTok, “Rest in peace.”
Sanku started making comedy skits in 2021 but rose to fame three years later through his unique storytelling and energetic delivery.
By 2024, his TikTok page had grown to more than one million followers, making him one of Nigeria’s fast-rising content creators.
Since his passing was confirmed, tributes have poured in from fans, influencers, and fellow entertainers across X, Instagram, and TikTok.
Many described him as a fresh voice in online comedy whose career ended far too soon.
