Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election. He predicted a clear and overwhelming victory for Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during the APC’s unity rally held in Abuja on Thursday, April 18, Jibrin said the current political momentum favors the ruling party, according to a report by Daily Post Nigeria. He pointed to growing support across the country as proof of the party’s expanding reach.
“There will be a landslide victory for Tinubu in 2027. You can see the signs—many people are defecting to our party, and elections are a game of numbers,” Jibrin stated.
He urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration’s policies, assuring them that progress takes time. Jibrin added that Tinubu faced serious economic and structural hurdles when he assumed office.
Despite the early challenges, he remained optimistic about the direction of the country. He emphasized that improvements would follow as key reforms begin to take effect.
The lawmaker also expressed determination to win over voters in the Federal Capital Territory. He called on APC members to continue working together to ensure victory in all regions.
Jibrin closed by encouraging full support for President Tinubu and the APC’s ongoing efforts. He said such unity and commitment would lead to better outcomes for all citizens.
