President Bola Tinubu has received a major boost ahead of the 2027 general elections as top political figures in the North West zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared full support for his leadership.
According to reports, the endorsement came after a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held in Kaduna, which brought together all the governors from the region, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President, former governors, state and federal lawmakers, APC state chairmen, ministers, and heads of federal agencies.
In a communique delivered by Kaduna State Governor and APC North West Coordinating Governor, Uba Sani, the zone expressed confidence in Tinubu’s policies and direction. The statement emphasized that the president’s efforts have positively impacted security and agriculture in the region, with farmers returning to their lands and communities experiencing improved peace.
“We thank and commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his purposeful leadership, bold reforms, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress, especially in the North West zone,” the communique read.
The stakeholders also pointed to increased federal presence in the region. With 12 ministers, senior legislative roles, and top security appointments, the zone noted that it had never experienced this level of national inclusion.
Infrastructure development was also cited as a key reason for the endorsement, with various ongoing and completed projects spread across the North West. The meeting concluded with a pledge of loyalty to the APC and a firm commitment to supporting Tinubu’s vision.
