Return to Work NLC Issues Directive to Workers Following Warning Strike

Following the successful two-day warning strike organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to protest the removal of petrol subsidy and highlight the hardships faced by Nigerians, the NLC has instructed all affiliate unions to return to work on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to its affiliates and Chairpersons of State Councils, the NLC expressed gratitude for their support and active participation in the strike, stating that the message conveyed through the strike had resonated with the government.

The NLC urged workers to gracefully conclude the strike and return to work, while also emphasizing that if the government fails to respond appropriately to their demands, they may be compelled to embark on an indefinite nationwide strike.

The NLC remains committed to defending the rights of Nigerian workers and ensuring that the voice of the people is heard.
