According to reports, Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be in attendance at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 final match between the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, and Ivory Coast.
The highly anticipated final will take place on Sunday, February 11, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
President Tinubu’s presence at the final match is expected to make it a full house, as he will be accompanied by several of his allies.
The President’s wife, Oluremi Tinubu, will also be joining him for the event.
Additionally, it is reported that around 22 governors, as well as cabinet members and ministers, will be in attendance to support the Super Eagles.
Both Nigeria and Ivory Coast are vying for the AFCON title, with Nigeria aiming to secure their fourth championship and Ivory Coast hoping to claim their third continental trophy.
The Super Eagles’ last AFCON victory was in 2013 in South Africa, and they are determined to bring the title back home.
