Former lawmaker Shehu Sani took to Twitter to criticize Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for declaring a public holiday and halting economic, social, and educational activities in the state during President-elect Bola Tinubu’s visit.
Sani accused Wike of being desperate for favor and accommodation, stating that while commissioning projects is commendable, disrupting the state’s activities for it is a sign of desperation.
He urged Tinubu to reject such behavior, warning that it could become the norm if not addressed.
Tinubu is expected to commission projects during his two-day visit to the state.
