Tobi Amusan, the world record holder and current Commonwealth and African champion in the 100m hurdles, has achieved yet another milestone by earning a Master’s of Arts degree in Leadership Studies and Sports Management from the University of Texas El Paso.
This achievement comes after graduating from the same university in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
In addition to her academic success, Amusan also started her 2023 season with a win at the Auburn Tiger Track Classics, clocking a time of 23.38s in the women’s 200m.
She has also secured her qualification for the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary, and was named Africa’s Best Female Athlete for the Year by the Confederation of African Athletics in December 2022.
