Public nominations are officially open for the 2025 Trendupp Awards, marking the fifth edition of the popular event that celebrates influencers, content creators, and digital talents.

According to a report, the awards are set to recognise standout personalities who shape online communities through creative content across various platforms.

In a statement, the organisers described this year’s edition as a major celebration of digital storytelling and cultural impact. “This year’s milestone edition celebrates five years of setting the standard for excellence in digital creativity, storytelling, and cultural impact,” the statement reads.

Founded in 2021, Trendupp Awards has grown into a Pan-African recognition platform, rewarding those who influence innovation and online culture.

Tiwalola Olanubi, founder of Trendupp Africa, noted:

“Today, we’ve grown from celebrating talent in Nigeria to fast becoming the benchmark for digital influence across Africa. That’s something we’re deeply proud of.”

Creative director Ayo Ishola added that this year’s production aims to raise expectations even higher, describing the event as #5tillExplosive.

Public nominations are now welcome across multiple categories, including:

  • Force of Creative Arts
  • Force of Instagram
  • Force of X (formerly Twitter)
  • Force of Virality
  • Force of Online Sensation
  • Force of Food Content
  • Force of Comedy Skits
  • Force of YouTube

  • Force of The Pod
  • Force of Social Good
  • Force of Collaboration
  • Emerging Force
  • Force of Influence (Nigeria)

Fans are encouraged to support their favourite digital creators by submitting nominations online.

Last year’s winners included Kiekie, Nasboi, and Tunde Onakoya—names that continue to impact the digital scene.
