Valencia forward Rafa Mir has been released on bail following his arrest over allegations of sexual assault.

The 27-year-old was taken into custody alongside fellow footballer Pablo Jara after two women filed a complaint against them.

The women claimed they met Mir and Jara at a nightclub before going to Mir’s home, where the alleged incidents occurred.

One woman accused Mir of sexual assault, while the other said Jara assaulted her after she refused to engage in sexual activity.

On Wednesday, both Mir and Jara were granted bail, but their passports were confiscated, and a restraining order was placed, preventing them from contacting the women.

Mir is also required to appear in court weekly and is forbidden from leaving Spain.

In court, Mir denied the allegations, insisting that the encounter was consensual. However, the complainant claimed Mir locked her in a bathroom before assaulting her.

A neighbor reportedly called the police after hearing screams and finding the two women in distress outside Mir’s residence.

Valencia acknowledged Mir’s arrest in a statement but said they were unaware of the details of the case.
