Willian received the first marching order after the referee reviewed his handball incident through VAR and moments later, Aleksandar Mitrovic was given his red card for pushing the referee over a decision.

Fulham had taken a lead through Mitrovic earlier but were punished for their lack of discipline with Bruno Fernandes’ 75th-minute penalty and a 77th minute goal from Marcel Sabitzer.
Another penalty from Bruno Fernandes in added time all but ended Fulham’s tie, with Mitrovic likely to be handed out the most severe punishment for his actions on field.

Manager Silva expressed disappointment at not having been shown VAR for several incidents including a penalty appeal in first half which wasn’t given.
Manchester United have qualified for FA Cup last four thanks to their rather eventful triumph over Fulham at Old Trafford.
