Following Chelsea’s recent struggles, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger shared his thoughts on the situation.
Despite the club’s massive £600 million investment in transfers, they have lost their last four games and were eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid.
Wenger was asked about co-owner Todd Boehly’s talks with players in the dressing room after their defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Wenger stated that he would not tolerate such interference as a manager and always made it clear in his contracts.
He advised young coaches to do the same and put what is important to them in their contracts, such as being solely responsible for managing the team and having the final say on player transfers.
Wenger also hinted at a potential instruction for Chelsea’s next permanent manager, suggesting they do the same in their contract negotiations.
Wenger managed Arsenal for 22 years, winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups before stepping down in 2018.
