Why Tinubu Gave Arise TV A Red Card from his Lagos event

The APC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga has addressed the circumstances surrounding Arise TV’s removal from Bola Tinubu’s Lagos political event.

Onanuga originally tweeted that the news station had infiltrated the event for espionage.

However, in a cleansing statement he subsequently made, it was revealed that the presidential candidate’s campaign council simply did not authorize any live coverage of the event but rather requested its recording and broadcast at a later date.

It was further clarified that other participating television stations had respected this policy, whereas Arise News had attempted to breach it undetected.
