Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly changed their decision and no longer allow Harry Kane to travel to Germany for a medical with Bayern Munich.

After a long transfer saga, Spurs finally accepted a bid of around £86.4m for their star striker.

Kane had verbally agreed to a four-year deal with Bayern and was scheduled to fly to Munich for a medical and contract signing.

However, Spurs have now withdrawn their permission for Kane to fly as they seek to make some last-minute changes to the agreement.

Talks are complicated by the fact that Daniel Levy is in a different time zone in the United States.

This unexpected twist has left Kane waiting at the airport for permission to board the plane and complete the transfer.

Kane is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham, making this summer the last chance for the club to earn a significant transfer fee for their record goalscorer.

Bayern Munich has been targeting Kane as their top choice for a new striker. Manchester United was also interested but moved on due to Kane’s price tag and Tottenham’s reluctance to sell to a Premier League rival.

Kane wanted his future sorted before Tottenham’s opening game of the season, but his decision was leaning towards staying at Spurs before the recent developments.

If the transfer goes through smoothly, Kane could make his debut for Bayern in the opening game of the Bundesliga season.
